The Deanship of Student Affairs was established at the beginning of the establishment of the university with the issuance of the decision of the Council of Higher Education No. 1426/39/20 AH, and the royal approval No. (2921/M B) dated 1427/04/12 AH. The Deanship consists of a group of departments that are concerned with the affairs of the university’s male and female students. The Deanship of Student Affairs was launched as an independent Deanship since the launch of the young University of Hail, and it takes into account the great responsibility placed on the shoulders of everyone towards this great scientific edifice. It provides them with services that create a suitable academic environment. It offers a number of semester-long programs and diverse activities aimed at enriching students' culture, broadening their horizons, helping them acquire useful knowledge and experience, encouraging social participation, reinforcing their sense of belonging to their country, and giving them opportunities to engage in activities that align with their interests and talents, equipping them with a variety of skills and sound, positive values.

The Deanship of Student Affairs cares for male and female students, overseeing their various activities and contributing to their educational, social, cultural, and athletic development. This aims to instill Islamic principles and values within them and provide them with comfort and psychological well-being.

The Deanship deemed it necessary to develop and modify its operational mechanisms to be capable of preparing students for the information age through education and training, intellectual development and skills, vision and implementation, hope and action, and by improving the professional and institutional capabilities of the Deanship through developing and updating the academic, leadership, and personal skills of students and university staff, providing various student services through the Deanship's website, expanding the quantitative and qualitative scope of student activities for all university students, and raising the level of the units. The Deanship of Student Affairs provides high-quality and distinctive student services, activities, and training programs that meet local and international standards, contributing to the development of well-rounded and balanced individuals and encouraging creativity and innovation among students.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Hail strives to translate the university's motto, adopted by the university president (Students First), into tangible reality through its services and programs offered to university students. The Deanship also seeks to provide high-quality, diverse, and comprehensive services, activities, events, and programs that accommodate, develop, and meet the needs, talents, and abilities of all students at all academic levels and in all scientific disciplines. These activities, programs, and services stem from the university's vision, mission, and objectives, and are offered in response to and in fulfillment of these goals. In line with the Kingdom’s directions and Vision 2030, which emphasizes and takes into account the inclinations and interests of male and female students, and meets their needs.
