Services provided by the center:
First: Guidance services
It means providing various services to male and female students, which are:
A- Religious guidance and guidance: It aims to support the religious aspect of the student’s personality through a group of specialized programs.
B- Psychological guidance and counselling: It is consultation and services that aim to take care of the student psychologically.
C- Social Guidance and Guidance: It focuses on caring for the student from a social standpoint and helping him understand the issues and problems that weaken his ability to give and find solutions to them.
D- Educational guidance and counselling: It takes place through individual sessions between the social worker or psychologist with the student in an atmosphere of privacy and confidentiality to discuss the problems that the student suffers from in order to find appropriate solutions.
Second: The unity of the outstanding male and female students
The Outstanding Students Unit represents an important link in the university’s mission, through which it is possible to focus on serving a very important segment of male and female students, which is the outstanding segment. This contributes to achieving the university’s vision aimed at increasing the affiliation of male and female students to the university, and providing the appropriate climate for their continued excellence.
Objectives of the unit:
1- Building communication links between the university and its students.
2-Create an information base concerned with outstanding students and the mechanism of communicating with them.
3- Giving outstanding students priority over being informed and participating in all academic and research developments inside and outside the university.
4- Guiding outstanding students and directing them to available job opportunities or graduate programs suitable for them.
5- Giving outstanding students priority in active participation in internal and external university events.
6- Motivating all male and female students to raise their academic level.
7- Benefiting from the experiences of outstanding students in:
- Achieving the future vision of the university.
- Developing academic, research and training plans in line with developments and needs of the labor market.
- Organizing and enriching the events and activities organized by the university, such as conferences, seminars and workshops.
Third: Unity of people of determination
It is a unit that aims to create a supportive and appropriate educational environment for male and female students with special needs and seeks to overcome all obstacles and challenges that they may face.
Objectives of this unit:
- Serving students with special needs, by receiving their suggestions and requests, discussing them with them, and then transferring them to officials to activate or provide them.
- Supporting and guiding students with special needs, and providing them with the necessary guidance in various fields.
- Involving students with special needs in various student activity programs and in various student events and trips.
- Coordinating with external agencies concerned with people with special needs in order to provide programs, books, and everything that serves this category of students.
- Coordinating with academic guidance in colleges in all matters that are in the interest of students with special needs.
Fourth: Social Research Unit
The Guidance and Counseling Department, in cooperation with the Student Fund, provides financial aid to university students in all its branches, in order to help them manage their university requirements and life matters. Applications are submitted according to the following mechanism:
- Fill out the form for subsidies and attach the required documents related to the student that support the student.
- Study of the student’s case by the department’s social supervisors.
- Approval of applications by the deanship and the department.
Fifth: Electronic Guidance Unit
The Electronic Guidance Unit follows up on students electronically by applying for its services through the website and following up on the cases of struggling and outstanding students alike.
Sixth: Aoun’s office
It is a unit that aims to create a supportive and appropriate educational environment for male and female students with special needs and seeks to overcome all obstacles and challenges that they may face.
