About

The University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is responsible for developing postgraduate studies and developing scientific research. The University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research has established regulations and procedures for periodic review of postgraduate programmes, research institutes, research chairs and centres.

The agency offers many competitive internal research projects, and the agency also adopted the introduction of the “performance-based support and funding” indicator by publishing scientific papers and research resulting from funded projects and publishing them in scientific journals classified by (ISI).

The agency also seeks to supervise the holding of specialized local and international scientific conferences to enrich scientific research, communicate with experts in various scientific fields, and conclude many scientific agreements with distinguished scientific institutions at home and abroad in order to raise the university’s scientific and research level to serve the community and become among the leading international universities.

The University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research supervises library affairs and works to provide all research and information resources.​

The University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is keen to play its role in achieving the vision and mission of the University of Ha’il and its strategic objectives related to developing postgraduate studies, enhancing the scientific research and innovation system, improving the university ranking to be within the leading universities in the world, and contributing effectively to the transformation towards a vibrant society and a knowledge-based national economy. Moreover, the Vice Presidency works to provide an

attractive educational environment for postgraduate studies, provide unique programs that are compatible with national and international objectives, and link its outputs to the university’s research priorities, in a way that helps develop society and solve its problems. The Vice Presidency is also responsible for supporting scientific research, determining research priorities that are compatible with national strategies and goals, strengthening the infrastructure that guarantees the quality of research and innovative outputs, and focusing on applied research with an economic effect that contributes to the transfer and localization of technology. The University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research also works through its various departments to organize specialized scientific conferences and forums, strengthen local and international strategic partnerships, protect the intellectual property rights of university employees and students, provide updated books, references and databases, in addition to following up on scholarships and providing them with the necessary support. The Vice Presidency also provides its services to all faculty members and is attached to them from the beginning of their carriers, then promotions to the end of service. Finally, all services and procedures at the University Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research are provided electronically in accordance with the highest standards of quality and excellence.​
