Department Overview

The Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs was established as one of the university's supporting deanships by virtue of Higher Education Council Resolution No. (20/42/1427 AH), dated (25/4/1427 AH), and Royal Approval No. (5997/MB) dated (10/8/1427 AH). It reports to the Vice Rector and is technically and administratively integrated into all aspects of university operations.

The Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs was established as one of the university's supporting deanships by the issuing Higher Education Council Resolution No. (20/42/1427 AH), and Royal Approval No. (5997/MB) dated (10/8/1427 AH). With the launch of Saudi Vision 2030 and the accompanying King Salman Program for Human Resources, and in line with national trends and the restructuring of the university by decision of the Council of University Affairs dated (13/3/1445 AH), the name was changed from Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs to the General Administration of Human Resources, which reports directly to the University President and is responsible for specialized Saudi and non-Saudi faculty members and their assistants, in accordance with The evolving and growing needs, in addition to its role in fulfilling the requirements of the administrative structure and the demands of administrative and financial performance, according to the skills required for the various job types related to the affairs of university staff, including professors and employees.

These evolving needs are also crucial. The General Directorate of Human Resources works on these organized frameworks for the needs of the university's colleges and supporting deanships, including the necessary arrangements, statistics, and communication mechanisms with relevant entities and Saudi cultural attachés in various countries, under the supervision and follow-up of the authorized official. It also constantly strives for the continuous development of employees' skills according to a plan aimed at scheduling their enrollment in training programs that meet their professional needs in their jobs.

The Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs at the University of Hail was changed by Decision No. (39/50) dated (15/1/1439H) based on the letter of the Minister of Education No. (936) dated (21/8/1438H) referred to the decision of the temporary committee tasked with carrying out the functions of the Higher Education Council (canceled) at its eleventh meeting held on (8/8/1438H). Its eleventh meeting held on (8/8/1438H) approved the abolition of the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs and the creation of an alternative department called the General Administration of Human Resources based on the recommendation of the University Council at its third session for the academic year (1437/1438H) on (4/19/1438H)

This change comes due to the importance of the role played by this department to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the university and serve the faculty members and employees, as it is the main driver of the administrative process in the university and by virtue of its competence in everything related to the university's manpower, including recruitment, contracting, training, scholarships, promotions, benefits and others for all university affiliates, including faculty members and employees, both Saudi and non-Saudi. This department is honored to facilitate everything that would serve the university to achieve leadership in teaching and science​
