Department Overview

The Strategic Plan Office seeks to achieve a set of goals:
• Spreading and enhancing the culture of planning and strategic thinking, and localizing modern concepts and methods of the planning process in the university’s sectors and units.
• Preparing the university’s strategic plan and updating it in accordance with the priorities of the Ministry of Education and national priorities.
• Supervising the preparation of strategic plans for the university’s sectors, and providing technical support to them to ensure the quality of these plans.
• Follow up on the implementation of the university’s strategic plan initiatives and operational plans for all academic and administrative units.
• Preparing and developing strategic plans and strategic programs necessary to implement strategic projects and achieve the university’s directions.
• Spreading the culture of measuring and evaluating the university’s strategic performance according to standard performance indicators.
• Preparing studies and reports that enable the development of strategies in the academic and administrative fields of the university.

Planning to develop the university’s strategy, through the preparation and implementation of the institutional strategic plan, and providing technical support to all university units to prepare their operational plans, and monitoring the implementation of the plans according to an electronic system that supports performance measurement and contributes to achieving the university’s competitive advantage.​

4. To enhance the quality of technical consultations related to strategic planning.

Dept Tasks

The tasks of the Strategic Plan Office are:
• Preparing strategic and operational plans to achieve various university priorities and national and global trends.
• Work to prepare and qualify strategic planning and strategic plan coordinators to enable them to perform their tasks.
• Follow up on the main performance indicators for all university sectors according to the university’s strategic plan, and measure progress in achieving them on an ongoing basis.
• Providing the necessary consultations to achieve the optimal implementation of plans and initiatives established in accordance with the university’s development plans.
• Updating the university’s strategic plan to keep pace with the circumstances surrounding the university and following up on updating the plans of the university’s various units.
• Supervising the work teams formed to prepare strategic plans for various university units and follow up on their implementation.
• Evaluating the impact of implementing the strategic plan on improving university performance in all university units.
• Preparing periodic reports on the office’s performance, and taking corrective measures to improve implementation and follow-up processes.
• Any other tasks assigned to the office in its field of competence.
