SDGs: Overview

Although the University of Ha'il is a relatively young university, with an age of less than 20 years, it is considered one of the fastest-growing academic institutions in the region. The university achieved a global ranking of 351–400 according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2022/2023). It ranked fifth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ninth among Arab universities.

The university uses global rankings as a benchmark to maintain and enhance its institutional reputation in teaching, research, and community service. The current strategic plan focuses on achieving further progress in all areas to maximize the university's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to attain higher rankings in the near future.
