About Department

The Department of Sports Affairs at the University of Hail provides many executive tasks through a group of different external and internal sports, recreational and service programs for the community such as (internal programs - external programmes).

External programs:

The administration participates in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation tournaments in its various competitions. The administration participates in various sports forums and competitions within the Kingdom, such as the Mecca Youth Forum at the governorate or regional level.
The administration participates and organizes some community service tournaments, such as the sports day for people with special needs (participation and organization), the government bodies championship (organization), and Ramadan sports tournaments, football, and swimming for government bodies (participation and organization).

Internal programs:

The Sports Affairs Department offers various sports programs and tournaments for all university employees (faculty members - employees - students), both collectively and individually.

Tasks

  1. Instilling and developing the correct concepts of sports activity among university employees.
  2. Providing university employees with motor skills and abilities that are based on sports and health rules to build a healthy body so that they can perform their duties in serving their religion, country, and society with strength and stability.
  3. Spreading sports awareness directed at practicing sports to gain physical fitness and lasting activity.
  4. Working in a team spirit and realizing the correct educational dimension of sports competitions.
  5. Developing sound social attitudes and correct behavior through some situations in individual and group games, gaining self-confidence and developing sportsmanship.
  6. Contributing to eliminating psychological tension, releasing emotions, exhausting excess energy, satisfying psychological needs, social adaptation, and self-realization for participants in sports activities.
  7. Appreciating the importance of investing free time in useful sporting activities.
  8. Raising the level of physical efficiency of university employees by giving them appropriate doses of exercises that develop and maintain the body.​
