The tasks and powers of the agency, represented by the university vice president, are:
• Implementing the overall public policy.
• Assisting the university president in managing the university’s administrative and financial affairs, supervising projects, following up on their implementation, and preparing an investment plan to ensure the strengthening of the university’s own resources.
• Supervising, following up and directing the work of all departments associated with the agency towards implementing its objectives, and proposing what would ensure the advancement of its work.
• Supervising the preparation of annual and five-year plans related to administrative and financial affairs, projects, maintenance, safety, security, as well as movement and transportation, following up on their implementation, preparing annual reports and submitting them to the University President.
• Supervising the university’s facilities, services, and construction, technical, community, and service projects.
• Preserving and inventorying the university’s assets and properties, and working to maintain and develop them.
• Preparing studies and guides organizing work within the university’s administrative and financial units.
• Investing and developing the university’s various resources in a way that ensures their benefit in improving the university.
• Supervising the administrative communications system, and archiving all university documents as needed in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
• Activating and following up on university security plans and programs in university buildings and facilities, and within the university campus.
• Follow up on the development of the university’s infrastructure in the areas of facilities, technology and various services.
• Managing and following up on projects, and securing all the university’s needs through public competitions, and within the limits of the financial allocations approved in the university’s budget.
• Forming the necessary committees to carry out the annual inventory of the university’s warehouses, funds and advances.
• Demanding the payment of advances and university dues, following up on revenue collection, and renewing bank guarantees and guarantees that competition conditions require.
• Developing the necessary policies to preserve, preserve and store university property.
• Approving the financial administration to pay university employee training fees, trainees’ dues, and any other expenses.
• Signing contracts whose implementation is supervised by the departments associated with the agency after the approval of the authority holder.
• Approval of assignment to work outside official working hours for no more than (30) days after coordination with the budget department in accordance with the actual need and the approval of the person in charge.
• Taking the necessary legal measures to ensure the preservation of university funds and property and to prevent violations and abuses.
