About the Deanship

The Deanship of Scientific Research was established in 1442 AH with the aim of providing an attractive and stimulating environment that supports excellence, creativity, and innovation. It achieves this by supporting and encouraging all innovative scientific research activities for faculty members, researchers, and graduate students. Additionally, the Deanship works to provide the necessary financial and technical support within the limits of allocated budgets, propose regulations, rules, and procedures that organize scientific research at the university, and motivate faculty members and researchers to conduct innovative scientific research.

The Deanship also provides research tools and resources, enabling researchers to conduct their work in a suitable scientific environment. It organizes communication with research centers outside the university and develops cooperation to benefit from the latest advancements. Furthermore, the Deanship establishes a database of ongoing and completed research at the university and facilitates the exchange of research information with other universities and research centers.

The Deanship strives to build partnerships and relationships with leading local, regional, and global research centers to elevate the level of research work in a way that supports national development goals and promotes research in modern technologies, renewal, and innovation across various fields of knowledge.

I am pleased to welcome you to the electronic page of the Deanship of Scientific Research, which is the responsible body and the main engine for advancing the scientific research movement at the university and monitoring and developing its research indicators in accordance with the vision, mission and goals of the university in light of the ambitious vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. Therefore, the Deanship of Scientific Research seeks cooperation With the university's various research units, we aim to create a stimulating environment towards a knowledge society and a prosperous research future.

Dean Tasks

1- Proposing the university's annual research plan and preparing the necessary draft budget in preparation for presenting it to the Council of the Deanship of Scientific Research.

2- Proposing regulations, rules, and procedures governing the scientific research system at the university.

3- Approving research projects and studies, following up on their implementation, arbitrating them, and supporting them in accordance with the rules regulating them.

4- Coordinating work between research centers at the university، and encouraging joint research between departments and colleges to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of available resources.

5- Recommending approval to publish research that the Deanship intends to publish after arbitration, in accordance with the rules of arbitration and publishing.

6- Encouraging faculty members and researchers to conduct innovative scientific research, and providing research tools and capabilities to enable them to conduct their research in appropriate scientific conditions.

7- Establishing an information base for ongoing and completed research funded by the Deanship.

8- Managing the financial, administrative, and technical affairs related to scientific research in accordance with the rules and regulations of higher education.

9- Protecting the rights and intellectual property of scientific research funded by the Deanship.

10- Exchanging research information with universities and other research centers.

11- Preparing and writing periodic and annual reports and the final account of scientific research activity at the university in preparation for submitting them to the Vice Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.
