The Deanship of Scientific Research was established in 1442 AH, with the aim of providing an attractive and stimulating environment that supports excellence, creativity and innovation, through supporting and encouraging all innovative scientific research activities for faculty members, researchers and graduate students, in addition to working to provide the necessary financial and technical support within the limits of the allocated budgets, proposing regulations, rules and procedures that organize scientific research in the university, and encouraging faculty members and researchers, and urging them to conduct innovative scientific research, providing them with research tools and capabilities, enabling them to conduct their research in a suitable scientific environment, organizing communication with research centers outside the university, developing cooperation with them to benefit from all that is modern, establishing a database of ongoing and completed research at the university, and exchanging research information with other universities and research centers. The Deanship is trying to build partnerships and relationships with leading local, regional and global research centers, and to raise the level of research work in a way that achieves national development goals, and supports research on modern technologies, renewal and innovation in the fields of knowledge.
