About Department

The General management of projects, operation and maintenance was established to support various agencies, supporting deanships, and colleges in the field of operating and maintaining all university buildings to preserve them and increase their lifespan by monitoring the performance of operation work and maintenance implementation processes. The Department also develops strategic plans to develop and link all operation and maintenance work, and unifies its contracts to ensure performance. Do it. It also monitors the quality of work and the performance of all university facilities to ensure their continued operation in accordance with their approved specifications. Department tasks

1. Planning the required budget for projects, operations, and maintenance.

2. Developing recommendations for the implementation phases of the overall project plan, approving and monitoring its execution in accordance with the university's general policy.

3. Directly supervising university projects.

4. Evaluating and studying bids submitted for project implementation.

5. Reviewing project terms and specifications and submitting them to the Contracts and Procurement Department to obtain the best technical and financial offers, then analyzing and evaluating them.

6. Monitoring the work of operation and maintenance companies, ensuring quality control, and submitting periodic reports to university administration regarding the companies' adherence to specifications and terms.

7. On-site monitoring of project implementation.

8. Monitoring the handover of completed projects from contractors to the beneficiary.

9. Auditing and reviewing financial statements.

10. Responding to inquiries from various entities within and outside the university regarding projects.

11. Coordinating between the contractor and the Operations and Maintenance Department during the warranty period.

12. Preparing periodic reports. 13. Investigating and resolving complaints related to projects, maintenance, and operations.

14. Responding to inquiries from contractors and consulting firms.

15. Reviewing and auditing financial dues owed to contractors, consulting firms, and maintenance and operations companies.

16. Supervising all maintenance, service, construction, and upkeep work for all university buildings and facilities.

17. Supervising, guiding, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of construction project plans and programs at all university sites and branches.

18. Monitoring, supervising, and following up with contractors and consulting firms during project implementation.

19. Providing full technical supervision of minor maintenance work according to approved specifications.

20. Supervising maintenance and beautification work for all university facilities.

21. Preparing the five-year development and construction plan for university facilities and buildings.

22. Performing any other assigned duties.
