About the Deanship

The Deanship of Quality and Development is one of the newest supporting deanships at the University, having been established in the academic year 1432-1433 AH. This reflects the University administration's commitment to achieving quality and academic accreditation and supports the Kingdom's drive to achieve excellence in university performance. Driven by the University's desire to be among the leading universities at all local, regional, and international levels, the University has sought to adopt and implement quality in its comprehensive form to compete in the pursuit of excellence with leading universities.
The Deanship of Quality and Development at the University works to implement quality and accreditation standards in all academic and administrative units within the University. This ensures that the University can meet the actual expectations and needs of the community, improve performance in all areas of University operations, establish systems that define how work is carried out with the highest efficiency and quality, and evaluate and measure performance according to specific standards. The work of the Deanship of Quality and Development is characterized by its commitment, given the need for continuous monitoring to improve academic and administrative practices and processes. Across all University units, including supporting deanships, colleges, and various departments in both male and female campuses, in coordination with relevant external stakeholders.

Interest in applying quality in higher education has increased because of its great importance in achieving the goals of higher education institutions, and as a result of the revolution in information and communication technologies and its impact on the educational process and the intense competition between academic institutions in providing the highest level of quality.
Therefore, the Deanship seeks to develop and improve all administrative processes and the academy processes to achieve the highest levels of quality within the University, and to achieve higher positions in internationally recognized university rankings. Therefore, the website aims to link the Deanship with all University's colleges in order to achieve the desired vision and objectives.

Requirements for Successful Completion of Training Courses

  1. Participants must attend all training hours scheduled for the course. However, they may submit an excuse for absence at least 24 hours before the course begins.
  2. Participants must complete both the pre-test and post-test designed to assess the impact of the training. These tests include questions based on the course material.
  3. Participants are required to complete the electronic evaluation of the training course through the registration system.
  4. Certificates are issued electronically by the Deanship of Quality and Development upon successful completion of the training course.

        Technical support can be obtained in one of the following ways:

        - Direct attendance at the deanship headquarters, whether in the male or female sections.

        - Contact the technical support unit in the deanship: in the male section, extension No. (6226), and in the female section, extension No. (8391).

        -Communicating with the technical support assigned to each college and each branch of the university, who can be identified by referring to the quality agent in the college/and in the branch.

 Yes, there are many forms designed to help those in charge of internal audit work in the various academic units review the program description/program report, as well as review the course description/course report, 
       and they can be obtained through the (electronic forms) tab located on the deanship’s website. Or request it directly by contacting the numbers mentioned on the deanship’s website.

  The teaching strategies and evaluation methods used in the course specifications must be verified; The targeted learning outcomes for the learning areas that should be focused on in each course are three areas: knowledge, skills, and values.

 Yes, the University of Hail has obtained full institutional accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, 
       for a period of seven years from the period September 2021 AD to November 2027 AD.

 All beneficiaries can learn about the services of the Deanship of Quality and Development, as well as the description of the service and the procedures for requesting it, through the services guide located in the (Policies and Guides) tab of the Deanship’s website.

Yes, there are electronic forms to measure learning outcomes at the program/course level, and they are constantly developed. There are also video explanations on how to use them correctly. 
       Workshops are also held to develop the skills of faculty members and train them to use and apply the forms. Forms and explanations can be obtained through the Deanship of Quality and Development icon on Blackboard.

The Department of Planning, Development Studies and Institutional Excellence in the Deanship of Quality and Development has many models that help in building and evaluating the operational plan, as well as providing the necessary technical support for it.

       The Deanship of Quality and Development at the University of Hail receives development ideas from all university employees through the “Share Us Development” initiative, 
       by providing them with the opportunity to employ their potential in developing the university’s institutional performance system.
       And also to present their initiatives and ideas related to the development of all aspects and fields of work within the university, whether teaching, research, service, planning, administrative, etc.
       All university employees can benefit from this service and present development initiatives and ideas, whether faculty members, students, employees and administrators, through the form available on the deanship’s website.


 The Deanship of Quality and Development offers many training courses and workshops in various training axes (quality assurance axis, research axis, technical axis, administrative axis, security and safety, etc.)
        You can learn about and register for training programs through the executive plan for training courses and workshops that are announced on the deanship’s website.


The Deanship of Quality and Development, represented by the Measurement and Evaluation Department, adopted the Unified Questionnaires Project, which aims to establish a unified rationale for designing questionnaires 
       and ensuring their quality. To request an electronic questionnaire design, you must fill out the form available on the Deanship’s website.

       You can join the internal audit team at the University of Hail by attending and passing the “Internal Auditing” training program, which is held every semester and implemented by the Skills Development Department in the Deanship of Quality and Development.
        Then, after passing it, the internal auditor can participate in the internal review process for quarterly quality requirements in various academic programs at the university.


The Deanship of Quality and Development is represented by the Skills Development Department. Certified male and female trainers, by passing the training program - Training of Trainers - “TOT” from the International Board in the Netherlands (IBCT), 
       at a rate of 40 hours. This program is held semi-annually, and it is necessary to pass a personal interview by the International Board Committee, apply the standards announced by them, and pay the financial fees. 
       After passing the program, the trainee is granted an international trainer’s license certified by the IBCT.

        Yes, thank God, the University of Hail achieved advanced ranks in the Times International University Rankings (THE World University Rankings 2022) for universities issued on 09/2/2021.
        The university achieved first place among the world’s universities in the Research Citation Index, third place among the Kingdom’s universities that succeeded in entering the Times International Ranking, and 351-400 among the world’s universities. 
       M in order to be among the best 400 universities in the world.

 There is a mechanism for receiving complaints, which is announced on the deanship’s website and its forms annex.


   Yes, the Deanship of Quality and Development has a role in creating and developing academic programs at the university in terms of issuing procedural regulations for developing programs and study plans 
        and preparing an approved mechanism for developing programs at the university. Also determining the sequential procedures for development and innovation, whether for programs or study plans, and designing all models for innovation and development, 
        which can be viewed through the Deanship’s website.

Sustainable Development

The Deanship of Quality and Development implements various mechanisms and tools to monitor performance and measure achievement levels across all academic and administrative units.

The Deanship has prepared 14 survey templates to collect feedback from stakeholders, including employees, graduates, and employers. It has also developed forms for internal and external audits. These tools are shared with relevant stakeholders across the University.

Public education policy in the Kingdom emphasizes free education at all stages and promotes the integration of education across all levels. The University of Hail also promotes gender equality and women's empowerment by providing equal opportunities for admission to both male and female students. In addition, training courses and workshops are available to both genders.
