Study at the university is based on the course and credit-hour system. The appendices to these regulations set out the academic programs, the distribution of their compulsory and elective courses across the different stages of study, the number of credit hours assigned to each course, the distribution of courses as a standard model across the four study levels from the first level to the fourth level, as well as a description of the content of each course.

  • Each college at the university determines the academic content of its courses, and its approval is issued by a decision of the Dean of the College, in light of the continuous updating of courses according to new developments in the technological sciences. The academic content of any course may not be amended until it has been taught for at least three academic semesters, and the academic content shall be reviewed by specialized committees at intervals not exceeding five years.

To obtain the Bachelor's degree, the student must complete a number of courses equivalent to the number of credit hours specified in the internal study regulations of each college at the university.

At the beginning of each academic semester, the student selects the courses to be studied during that semester from among the courses offered by the college. The academic advisor assists the student in this process, in accordance with the course registration rules established by the university.

A student shall not be considered officially registered until the tuition fees have been paid.
