About ِAcademic Affairs Unit

The Academic Affairs Unit is responsible for supervising and following up on all work related to educational and academic aspects, and participating in developing study plans and programs in order to achieve the general goals of academic accreditation standards.

  1. Contributing to achieving the college's mission and goals by providing high-quality academic and educational services to male and female students, which contributes to facilitating the educational process.
  2. Developing existing study plans and curricula and developing new programs in cooperation with academic departments.
  3. Enabling students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in their specializations, and appropriate to the nature of their work, to make them competitive in the labor market.
  4. Improving the level of student services and admission and registration policies and mechanisms.
  5. Improving the scientific level and learning outcomes by providing the appropriate educational environment.

Unit Tasks

  1. Ensure that lectures, office and advising hours are conducted according to faculty schedules.
  2. Follow up on graduate student study plan compliance.
  3. Following up on issuing graduation certificates and good conduct certificates for graduating students, based on what is received from the departments, and receiving students' graduation certificates from admission and registration.
  4. Follow up with colleges regarding requests to teach courses, etc.
  5. Follow up on educational affairs related to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration - except for matters related to academic advising (such as: matters of academic study schedules and exam schedules - equivalencies - allocation to regular and bridge students - lists of students expected to graduate - modifying students' grades on the banner - ... etc.).
  6. Follow up on the readiness of classrooms.
  7. Announcement to students regarding educational affairs.
  8. Any new matters related to educational affairs are assigned by the vice-dean for academic affairs.
