The department's responsibilities include:
1. Establishing a secure and private network link between the university, the ministry, and other government entities, in cooperation with the Deanship of Information Technology.
2. Adopting successful and advanced information and communication technologies.
3. Converting paper-based processes to electronic services.
4. Adopting successful and advanced information and communication technologies.
5. Coordinating the flow of transactions and correspondence between all university units.
6. Documenting university correspondence.
7. Providing information to clients professionally.
8. Assisting departments in carrying out their work.
9. Implementing e-government within the university.
10. Monitoring circulars and administrative decisions issued by various university departments.
11. Organizing the receipt, registration, and forwarding of administrative transactions to the relevant departments, along with any associated services.
12. Receiving, registering, and successfully sending all outgoing correspondence.
13. Exporting transactions to external entities within various government departments.
14. Any other tasks assigned to the department.
