​The College of Applied Sciences at the University of Hail was established in 1442 AH, pursuant to the decision of His Excellency the Chairman of the Council of University Affairs No. 9/4/1442 dated 14/9/1442 AH, which was communicated to the university by letter No. (32726-2/S)​ from His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council of University Affairs, dated 21/10/1442 AH, approving the transformation of community colleges, colleges of applied studies, and community service colleges in Saudi universities into applied colleges with a distinct identity and governance structure different from the rest. University colleges enable them to achieve their goals in the field of applied education, capable of meeting the objectives of development and the private sector, and guiding graduates to the labor market more quickly, with an expansion in the target groups, which are high school graduates, job seekers, and those already employed. Programs are opened in the applied college through several inputs, the most important of which are: the reality of the labor market, the reality of job seekers, the Saudi classification of occupations, and reliance on several pillars, the most important of which is: the journey Flexible educational approaches, English language preparation programs, geographical integration with the surrounding environment and its needs, and linking programs to professional certifications and practical training. The applied college offers an associate's degree in several specialized fields.
