Scholarships: are the academic seat that a non-Saudi student (male or female) obtains, to study for the bachelor’s level in universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Internal Grants

Internal scholarships:
These are scholarships allocated to students from within the Kingdom and from all nationalities in it.

Mechanism for accepting internal scholarship students:
  • Apply online through the Adras platform in Saudi Arabia.
  • Application documents are reviewed and verified for accuracy.
  • Applicants can track the status of their application through the platform. 
  • Applicants will be notified via SMS if their application is initially accepted and approved.

Conditions for applying for internal scholarships:
  • What applies to Saudi male and female students applies to internal scholarship students according to the differentiation criteria.
  • The male or female student must have a high school diploma or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • The student must be a legal resident of the Kingdom.
  • The male or female student must have an aptitude and achievement score.
  • The male or female student must be proficient in the Arabic language, written and spoken.
  • The age of the male or female student must not be less than (17) years and not more than (25) years for the bachelor’s degree.
  •   The male or female student must not have obtained admission to another university within the Kingdom.
  • It must not have been more than two years since the male or female student obtained the high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • The validity of the residency upon submitting the application must not be less than four months.
  • Application will be through the electronic portal only on the university’s website on the specified date, and no paper submission will be accepted.

External Grants

External scholarships:
These are scholarships allocated to students from outside the Kingdom and which are linked to Islamic, Arab, fraternal and cultural relations with the Kingdom

Conditions for accepting external scholarship students:
  • The student must be of good conduct and conduct.
  • To pledge to abide by the university’s rules and regulations.
  • To be medically fit.
  • He must have a high school diploma or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.
  • He must commit to devoting full time to studying for students who are regular in the morning period.
  • It must not have been more than three years since he obtained his high school diploma.
  • The age of the male or female student must not be less than (17) years and not more than (25) years for the university stage.
  • Not to be expelled from any university for any reason.
  • The student must not have obtained a scholarship from a university in the Kingdom.
  • The student must have a mahram who has a scholarship or be a resident with a regular residence permit.
  • He must meet the university admission requirements.

Mechanism for accepting external grants:
  • Apply through the Edress platform in Saudi Arabia https://studyinsaudi.moe.gov.sa/ on the specified date.
  • The student’s data is checked and verified.
  • The student will be notified to visit the Kingdom’s embassy to approve and authenticate his documents.
  • The necessary study visa is issued to the student and is submitted to the Ministry of Education to address the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for issuance, and the student is informed of this to complete his travel procedures to the Kingdom.
  • The student nominated for admission will be contacted via his email and contact information attached to the application.

  • Conveying the message of Islam to the world, teaching the Arabic language, and spreading the culture of moderation and moderation.
  • Establishing scientific and cultural ties with educational institutions, Islamic and scientific bodies and institutions in the world, and strengthening them, to serve humanity.

Tasks

Mission

The administration of student scholarships for non-Saudis consists of three basic units (registrar, auditor, and reviewer).

1- Administration Registrar
He is the person who opens registration after obtaining approval from the Permanent Committee for Student Scholarships and the Secretary of the Student Sorting Committee after completing the application form and uploading it to the Ministry’s website. Or approve applications submitted by applicants through the “Study in Saudi Arabia” program and follow up on students with the registration process

2- Management auditor
He is the person who verifies students’ data after the process of approving registration on the scholarship portal or through the “Study in Saudi Arabia” program, and follows up on internal and external scholarship students during their studies and fulfills their requirements.

3- Management references
He is the person who reviews the students’ data after the registration approval process on the scholarship portal or through the “Study in Saudi Arabia” program and sends it to the system administration director for final approval. He is responsible for submitting the financial and administrative claims of scholarship students to the relevant authorities.
