The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hail is committed to preparing a general practitioner of dentistry with competencies in various dental sciences and medicine and contributes effectively to the service of society and scientific research through a stimulating learning environment and the dissemination of quality health services and an effective community partnership in line with quality and accreditation standards.

     The BDS program at the University of Hail began on 1 September, 2008. The first batch of dental students joined the program on 1 September, 2010. The first graduation ceremony was held in 2016.

       The BDS program is offered full-time, requiring successful completion of 211 credit hours in the form of lectures, laboratory training, and clinical practice. Students are required to successfully complete twelve (12) semesters at the University of Hail (two semesters for the Preparatory Year for Health Sciences and ten semesters at the Faculty of Dentistry). In addition, a mandatory non-accredited internship of one (1) year must be completed in order to graduate from the BDS program. 

The program has one-year non-accredited clinical training, mandatory internships alternately, six months at the college's dental clinic, and another six months at dental hospitals within Saudi Arabia. Courses are offered five days a week from Sunday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for theoretical courses and clinical practice. ​
