The Admissions Department at the Deanship of Admissions and Registration aims to carry out admission work at the university in accordance with the regulatory procedures and conditions, and to complete the transfer procedures from outside the university, re-enrollment, and equivalence of certificates in accordance with the regulations governing this.

Visiting Student

A visiting student is one who studies some courses at another university or in a branch of the university to which he belongs without being transferred, and the courses he studied are equivalent to him in accordance with the following controls:

Registration of a visiting student from another university at the University of Hail:

  • The student must have an academic record (cumulative average) for at least two semesters from the university to which he was accepted.
  • The student must not be expelled for disciplinary or educational reasons.
  • He must obtain prior written approval from his university to study as a visiting student at the University of Hail. The letter must mention the University of Hail courses that the student will study and the number of hours the student is allowed to study.
  • He must obtain the approval of the college in which he wishes to study as a visitor.
  • The maximum number of semesters that a student is allowed to study as a visitor is two semesters.
  • The visiting student is not entitled to request housing at the university and no stipend will be paid to him from the University of Hail.
  • Courses are registered for the student by the college in which he wishes to study, taking into account all controls for registering in courses.

Registration of a visiting student from the University of Hail at another university:

  • The student must have an academic record (cumulative average) for at least two semesters at the University of Hail.
  • The student must not be expelled for disciplinary or educational reasons.
  • He must obtain prior written approval from his college to study as a visiting student at the university in which he is requested to study as a visiting student. The letter must mention in the letter the university courses in which he is requested to study as a visiting student after specifying the equivalent subjects for the student by the college that the student will study.
  • The college requires obtaining a specific average for course equivalency, and the study must be directed to an official letter from the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  • The maximum number of academic units that can be counted for a student while studying as a visitor outside the University of Hail is 25% of the total graduation units at the University of Hail.
  • The monthly stipend is paid to the visiting student, if he is eligible for it, through manual payments after submitting an official, approved academic record to the Deanship of Admission and Registration for that semester he studied at that university.
  • The visiting student’s course grades are not counted as part of the cumulative average, and the courses are recorded in his academic record.
  • The student must provide the Deanship of Admission and Registration at the University of Hail with his results that he obtained while studying at another university within two weeks of the start of study in the first semester following his period of study as a visitor. If he does not submit his results, he is considered dropped from those semesters, except for the summer semesters, and is treated according to Article 15 of this law. Regulations.

Internal Transfer


External Transfer

A student’s transfer from outside the university may be accepted according to the following controls:

  • The student must have studied at an accredited college or university.
  • The student must not have been expelled from the university from which he is transferring for disciplinary or educational reasons.
  • Approval of the college to which the student wishes to transfer according to the transfer conditions approved by the College Council.
  • The number of prescribed study units that the transfer student is required to study at the University of Hail shall not be less than (60%) of the number of courses required to obtain a bachelor’s degree from the university.
  • The student’s cumulative GPA must not be less than 1.75 out of 4, and the College Council may make an exception to this if it is convinced of the justifications that necessitated an external transfer.
  • If it becomes clear after the student’s transfer that he had previously been expelled for disciplinary reasons, his enrollment shall be considered canceled from the date of acceptance of his transfer to the university.
Conditions for course equivalency:
  • Obtaining a grade of (C), (C) and higher in the course.
  • The course must be identical in terms to the course to be equated.
  • The grade obtained by the student is not counted toward his cumulative average.
Documents required for transfer:
  • A copy of the secondary school certificate.
  • A letter or transfer form from the university you are transferring from.
  • Original academic record.
  • Description of the courses taught at the other university (topics of each course).
  • A copy of proof of identity.
