Th​​​e College of Dentistry at the University of Ha’il held its 2nd Scientific Research Day on 15 May 2025, as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to foster a strong research culture, enhance students’ research skills, and support scientific activities in dentistry.

The event was held under the patronage of the Dean, Dr. Sami Abdullah Al-Muhaifer, and attended by the IADR representative, Dr. Abdullah Alshammari. The program featured scientific presentations and poster displays with interactive discussion.

A poster competition was conducted during the event, and the winners were announced as follows:

• 1st Place: “Exploring Approved Chemotherapeutics for Novel Applications in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma” — Razan Al-Ahmadi.

• 2nd Place: “Exploring the Intriguing Connection: How Nitrate Reduction and Sulphur Metabolism Influence the Balance of Health and Disease in Oral Bacteria” — Youssef Al-Enezi.

• 3rd Place: “Evaluation of Surface Roughness of Titanium Disks Subjected to Simulated Oral Conditions” — Ghada Al-Dukhail.
