College of Applied Medical Sciences organized a dialogue session on the role of women in achieving Saudi Vision 2030

The College of Applied Medical Sciences organized a dialogue session on the occasion of International Women's Day and the role of women in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 in the health field, on Sunday, 29 Sha'ban 1555 AH corresponding to (March 8, 2024) in the theater of the College of Applied Medical Sciences.

The dialogue session was chaired by Dr. Amjad Al-Yahyawi, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and moderated by Dr. Heba Barnawi, with the participation of Dr. Al-Bandari Al-Aamaar, the college's vice-dean. A number of faculty members, administrative staff, and male and female students from the college attended the session.

During the session, a number of axes were discussed on the role of women in Saudi Vision 2030 in the health field and their contribution to it in the Kingdom. Dr. Amjad Al-Yahyawi clarified in the first axis (the role of Saudi Vision 2030 in empowering women) that the vision's launch confirms the interest of our dear country under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince, as Saudi women have been granted rights that surpass their counterparts in any other societal system. This places upon them a responsibility towards the nation in contributing constructively to the comprehensive transformation, development, and sustainable development, and thanks to the support of our wise government, economic capabilities, and societal awareness, women have become an integral part of the development and development process.

Dr. Amjad Al-Yahyawi added: "Saudi women have taken solid steps towards their active role in sustainable development, and our government's efforts are evident in improving the work environment and enhancing women's participation in the labor market, as the percentage of their participation this year exceeded the target percentage for 2030." She stated that the launch of a number of initiatives such as "Empowerment of Women Leaders" and "Achieving Gender Balance" reflects the great interest in promoting women's leadership, and thanks to these efforts, Saudi women have held high positions in various sectors and proven their competence, efficiency, and distinction.

For her part, Dr. Al-Bandari Al-Aamaar, Vice-Dean of Applied Medical Sciences, explained the fundamental role of women in building society, as they are the foundation for the formation and development of society, being the most important pillars of the family and its construction, stressing that women have contributed to the renaissance of the health and medical sector, becoming doctors, researchers, and scientists. And their role in developing volunteer work and promoting the values of social responsibility.
