On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Sciences Conference concluded its activities, which was organized by the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Hail University, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Hail Region, under the theme "The Future of Healthcare through Research, Development and Innovation". The conference lasted for three days filled with various scientific activities.  

The conference witnessed a large attendance during the 3 days, accompanied by many programs and events, as it included 15 scientific keynote presentations, 10 oral presentations, an accompanying exhibition in which more than 30 governmental and private institutions participated, 5 panel discussions, and 5 workshops from which more than 300 participants benefited, and about 30 research posters were presented. The number of attendees 2000 and the number of participants in the scientific workshops reached 300, and 3 agreements were signed with governmental and private entities on the sidelines of the conference.

The conference concluded its activities by emphasizing the importance of international and local cooperation to benefit from the capabilities of artificial intelligence in developing the healthcare system. The participants also indicated the need to enhance scientific research in this field and provide an educational and training environment that enables doctors and medical workers to use these technologies in the best possible way. This conference is an important step towards achieving a digital transformation in healthcare, and reflects the commitment of the University of Hail and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to adopt the latest technologies to develop the healthcare system and achieve the well-being of its citizens. The conference concluded with several recommendations, including (enhancing cooperation between sectors in the field of artificial intelligence, investing in research and development, integrating artificial intelligence and modern technologies into clinical practice, and developing a legal and legal framework and ethical principles for the use of artificial intelligence in the medical field).

At the conclusion of the conference, the conference president, Dr. Amjad bint Rashid Al-Yahyawi, expressed her sincere gratitude to His Highness the governor of Hail Region for his generous patronage to support the work of the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Sciences Conference, stressing that this comes within the framework of His Highness's continuous and permanent support for University of Hail to carry out its main tasks in leading the helm of digital and technological development in data science and artificial intelligence and achieving optimal benefit from these advanced technologies in a way that enhances the local and international position of the university in this field. Dr. Amjad bint Rashid Al Yahyawi also expressed her sincere gratitude to His Excellency the Acting President of the University of Hail, Prof. Zaid bin Muhlahel Alshammari, and the Vice-Rector of the University, Dr. Haitham Alsaif, for their support and providing the means for the success of this conference activities enabling the University of Hail to become a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence and data science.
