The department is responsible for planning, managing, implementing, and monitoring current and future initiatives and projects at the university, contributing to the achievement of its strategic objectives and enhancing institutional performance. It also provides planning and technical support services to university units in developing initiatives and projects and monitoring their implementation according to best practices.

The department works to lead and support the programs and initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program, empowering university staff to actively participate in achieving its goals and promoting a culture of planning, implementation, and strategic impact measurement. It also contributes to providing specialized information and statistics, optimizing the investment of human, financial, and technological resources, and achieving integration and consistency between the university's strategic directions and national development programs, thereby supporting institutional transformation and sustainable development.

Dept Tasks

1. Overseeing the implementation of development projects and initiatives aligned with the goals and programs of Saudi Vision 2030, and raising awareness among university staff about them.

2. Conducting a study to identify the most important development projects and initiatives that can be initiated to support the university's institutional capacity.

3. Submitting the most important proposals for strategic projects and initiatives to the Vice Rector for review and approval.

4. Evaluating and monitoring the implementation of development projects and initiatives according to clear and specific criteria, and ensuring the achievement of the required performance indicators.

5. Enhancing knowledge and awareness of the programs and initiatives for achieving Vision 2030.

6. Ensuring the alignment of the university's strategic plan with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program, and measuring the extent to which its objectives are achieved. 7. Building strategic partnerships with relevant entities to participate in implementing Vision initiatives.

8. Providing technical support to all university sectors regarding the implementation of Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and programs.

9. Participating in formulating the strategic goals and initiatives of Vision 2030 and developing implementation plans for them.

10. Overcoming obstacles that may hinder university sectors in achieving Vision 2030 programs.

11. Strengthening the public perception of Saudi Vision 2030 and the university's role in achieving it.

12. Maintaining continuous communication with the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Education to ensure the achievement of Vision 2030 objectives.

13. Identifying the implementing entity and stakeholders for each initiative and developing and approving a specific timeline for its implementation.

14. Developing plans for transferring initiatives to relevant entities and monitoring progress to maintain performance levels.

15. Any other tasks assigned to the office within its areas of expertise.
