‏Hail University Celebrates Saudi Arabia's 94th National Day

His Excellency the Acting President of Hail University, Professor Dr. Zaid bin Mihlal Al-Shammari, presided over the official celebration of the 94th Saudi National Day, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The event was attended by the university’s vice presidents, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, their deputies, department heads, faculty members, and students.

The ceremony began with an introduction by students Hamdan Al-Shammari and Najd Al-Asfooz, followed by a Quran recitation by student Malik Al-Zamil. Then, student representatives Hamza Al-Khayari, Hala Al-Farih, and Najoud Al-Rashidi delivered the students' speech, expressing their national pride and appreciation for the wise leadership's support of education. An international students’ speech was delivered by Abdullah Ilfi Sham (from Indonesia) of the Arabic Language Department, who thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their care and support, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia spares no effort in providing all necessary resources for them.

The event continued with a documentary film titled "Heartbeat," produced by the University’s Communication and Media Department. The film highlighted the unification of the Kingdom and its achievements under Saudi Vision 2030, with a special focus on the development of Hail region and Hail University, supported by the region’s Emir and Deputy Emir.

This was followed by a patriotic poem recited by student Yasser Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, embodying feelings of pride in the nation and its wise leadership. A theatrical presentation titled "We Dream and Achieve" was then performed, showcasing key projects of Vision 2030, presented by students Waad Al-Zaqdi and Mohammed Al-Tamimi.

The university’s music club members then presented a musical operetta titled "Our History is Glory Passed Down to Generations," with lyrics by poet Khaled bin Shuraid and performances by students Salem Mutlaq Al-Shammari, Yahya Shafi Al-Dhawaili, and Abdullah Salem Al-Tamimi.

At the end of the event, the Acting President of the University honored the winners of the university’s National Day competition, which included seven categories such as Best Short Video, Best Infographic Design, Best Greeting Tweet, Best Poem (Classical and Nabati), and Best Essay.

Before the ceremony, the Acting President, alongside university vice presidents and the Dean of Student Affairs, inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, which featured booths by the colleges showcasing students' projects and achievements related to the National Day.
