The Acting President of Hail University, Prof. Dr. Zaid bin Muhalhil Al-Shammari, received His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, who visited the College of Computer Science and Engineering at the university. The visit was attended by the accompanying delegation and members of the University Council.
At the beginning of the visit, the Acting President of the University welcomed the Minister. Then, the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Ahmed bin Badr Al-Tamimi, gave an introductory presentation on the college, its departments, programs, and various units, highlighting the achievements it has made in academic, research, and innovation fields.
His Excellency the Minister, along with the accompanying delegation, toured the research and innovation laboratories in the college, which included the Digital Manufacturing Lab (Fab Lab Hail) and the Space Telescope Observatory at the College of Computer Science and Engineering. The Minister was also briefed on student projects and the research outputs of the faculty members, which were presented to him.
The Minister’s visit to the university was part of his visit to the Hail region and aimed at enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and the university in research and innovation, as well as exploring the adoption of research efforts in innovation and modern technologies.
