The Acting President of Hail University, Professor Dr. Zaid bin Muhalhal Al-Shammari, received in his office at the university campus the two faculty members, Dr. Naif bin Khalaf Al-Shammari and Dr. Mishari bin Saud Al-Azmi, who won a silver medal and a certificate of appreciation for the second consecutive year at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2024, which was attended by more than 1,000 inventors from around the world.
Their participation in the 49th edition of the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions was conducted remotely. The researchers from Hail University, in collaboration with the College of Medicine at Swansea University in the United Kingdom, developed a digital medical diagnostic device called (KAGAWEA MD-TEST), used for conducting certain medical tests with very high digital precision.
Professor Dr. Zaid Al-Shammari congratulated the two faculty members on their achievement of winning two silver medals over the past two years, emphasizing that the ambition does not stop there and the necessity to strive for the gold medal and to represent the university and the nation in international scientific forums. This aligns with the support of our wise government for innovation programs and innovators, reflecting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and its programs and targets.
The Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions saw the participation of 26 Saudi universities, including 19 public universities, two independent universities, and five private universities, showcasing 113 inventions with 128 exhibitors across all scientific, theoretical, medical, and biological specialties.
