Under the patronage of the President of Hail University, Professor Rashid bin Maslat Al-Sharif, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized the closing ceremony of student activities for the academic year 1445 AH. The event was attended by the university's vice presidents, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, supervisors of student activities, and students. The ceremony took place yesterday evening, Thursday, Dhu al-Qi'dah 29, 1445 (June 6, 2024), in Theater No. (1) at the university campus.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a special segment celebrating the graduation of student Aryam Abdullah Al-Muhailib, who was unable to attend her graduation ceremony this year due to the death of her father on the day of the graduation, may he rest in peace. The event then proceeded with speeches delivered by several students, expressing their gratitude to the wise leadership for the care and attention they received. Following this, students recited national poems and performed theatrical scenes, which were well-received by the audience. There was also a showcase of talented students' work in the fields of arts, innovation, and artificial intelligence, as well as a documentary film highlighting the most prominent activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs. A visual presentation featured several Hail University graduates who have taken on significant positions in the medical, administrative, sports, and other fields, demonstrating the university's important role in preparing competitive graduates.
The event also included an operetta titled "Saudi Arabia: Our Home, Our Pride, and Our Honor," performed by university students. At the end of the ceremony, the university president honored several partners and supporting entities of student activities, the participating colleges, and student teams who achieved top positions in local and international competitions. Student Bara’a Fahad Al-Rashed presented a painting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, which was received by the university president.
Lastly, the university president, Professor Rashid bin Maslat Al-Sharif, presented a shield of appreciation to the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Khaled Al-Mutairi, for the deanship's efforts during the academic year.
