   About the department: 
   The department aims to deepen scientific facts and employ them in the library service through technical development in the use of computer communications networks, especially the World Wide Web, and to benefit from the skills of searching for information and presenting 
   it to the library service through indexing, classification, provisioning, and collection development. And information bases that serve the library community, in addition to preparing internal programs for the departments in the library, technical and technical follow-up of the library’s 
   internal network, enhancing the training skills of employees, providing all technical services to the community and patrons of the library, and supervising the library website.

   Tasks of the Information Technology Department:
      1- Automated system management (Symphony), and we will talk about it in some detail.
      2- Follow up and manage the server of the Deanship of Library Affairs.
     3- Create user names, passwords, and permissions based on the nature of the work of each employee in the department.
      4- Solve any technical and technical problem related to the system.
      5- Follow up on the maintenance of the deanship’s equipment.
     6- Coordination with the Information Technology and Technical Support Center on technical and artistic matters.
      7- Preparing the reports required by the system.
      8- Follow the digital library portal.
      9- Managing the electronic portal of the Deanship of Library Affairs, which is part of the University of Hail portal.
