The mission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering emerges from the mission of the College of Engineering and the University of Hail. It aims to graduate creative engineers in precise specializations such as materials science, fluid mechanics, mechanical and thermal energy, mechanical design, production and manufacturing engineering, mechanical power engineering, and other specializations that are taught in accordance with international standards in order to meet the needs of industry and the service and commercial sectors. The department is keen to ensure that the graduate is fully aware of the ethics of the profession and the requirements of environmental protection. The department also contributes to the development of the industrial sector through applied research and research projects. The department contributes to community service and environmental development through engineering consultations and holding seminars, workshops, and field visits.
