Through its vision, the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods seeks to keep pace with developments in the educational field to achieve leadership in the field of curricula and teaching methods in its general and special specializations, and to excel in preparing and qualifying research teachers who have professional and ethical skills that qualify them to practice the teaching profession with high efficiency, and who possess research capabilities that enable them to diagnose problems. Educational and learning in their field of work, and effective contribution to finding appropriate solutions for them, through the multiple academic programs offered by the department at the master’s level, and optimal investment programs for educational cadres, in addition to the multiple bachelor’s programs in which it supports other academic departments with their various specializations in the College of Education, The department also offers the university life skills course to all male and female students at the University of Hail in all their majors at the bachelor’s level. The department aims, by offering this course, to provide new students with the most important communication and research skills that help them adapt and integrate effectively with the university environment in order to achieve academic excellence and apply them. For those skills in their university and professional lives in the future.
In its academic, research and community service activities, the department relies on a distinguished elite of specialized faculty members at various academic levels with distinguished scientific and research competence, who work hard to achieve the department’s mission and goals for both male and female students. The department also seeks to achieve continuous professional development for faculty members through Identify the necessary training needs and work to submit them to the relevant authorities in order to provide the necessary opportunities to develop their teaching, research and administrative skills, and upgrade their capabilities related to quality activities and practices in the department.
The department looks forward to expanding and developing its academic programs, creating quality programs at all levels, including doctoral programs, and performing its scientific, research and advisory tasks in the educational field in order to achieve national strategic plans and visions.
Finally, all the roles that the department performs, the roles it aspires to play in the future, and the development plans it aspires to, could not and will not happen except after God’s will and His success, and then the continuous support and motivation from His Excellency the President of the University, the Deanship of the College of Education, its deputies, and the department’s faculty members.
