About Department

The decision to establish the Measurement and Evaluation Department at the Deanship of Quality and Development at the University of Hail came pursuant to an administrative decision from the Dean of Quality and Development. This is in continuation of the university’s quality process through continuous monitoring and development of learning outcomes and automating and standardizing questionnaires to ensure the quality of information and data collected by university employees. The nature of the work of the Measurement and Evaluation Department stems from measuring performance indicators and following up on measuring the learning outcomes of the university’s academic programs, which in turn helps direct the decision maker towards developing academic programs in a way that contributes to achieving the university’s goals. Hence, the Department of Measurement and Evaluation will work to follow up on the latest developments in the field of measurement and evaluation in cooperation with all academic and administrative units by educating the university’s faculty members about the importance of measurement and evaluation and the developments that arise in it to achieve the best quality of performance.

  • Issuing introductory and educational guides and bulletins in the field of measurement and evaluation.
  • Building, analyzing and automating standardized questionnaires to evaluate university performance.
  • Measuring performance indicators in light of internal and external benchmark comparisons.
  • Cooperation and coordination with other units in the Deanship of Quality and Development to achieve the general objectives of the Deanship.
  • Follow up on reports related to measuring the learning outcomes of academic programs.
  • Coordination with academic programs to determine the results of graduates’ tests for practicing the profession.
  • Measuring beneficiaries’ satisfaction with practices and activities related to the field of measurement and evaluation.
  • Participate in organizing training courses and workshops related to the field of measurement and evaluation.

  5. Preparing reports on the results of applying measurement and evaluation tools.

  7. Measuring rates of change in the performance of academic or administrative units.
