​Welcome to Preparatory College at Hail University

The implementation of the preparatory year at the University of Hail comes as a basic requirement and an urgent need to bridge the gap between the outcomes of compulsory and university general education. The preparatory year program aims to create a bridge between secondary education and university subjects that require more preparation and mastery in basic subjects such as English language, mathematics, and general sciences.

The program also focuses on discipline, training, and developing students’ educational skills and self-abilities. In addition to the direct and initial interest in providing them with a distinguished quality of education, the program also focuses on practical training and encourages cooperation, a sense of responsibility, logical and creative thinking, and team work.

Brief history

​The College of the Preparatory Year was established on Jumada Akhar 30, 1426 AH, corresponding to June 7, 2005 AD. Since that time, the Deanship of the Preparatory Year has worked to move forward in continuous development through the Quality Agency to achieve the expected levels of ambition in all academic and administrative fields and to achieve its vision and mission in accordance with the strategy followed at the University. Hail, where the vision of the Deanship of the Preparatory Year was centered on leadership and excellence at the national level in preparing the students of the preparatory year for university studies and creating a qualitative shift in their ideas to be compatible with the needs of society by providing a distinguished and supportive environment for learning and teaching to provide students with communication skills, self-research and development so that they can participate effectively and excel. Praise be to God, who made knowledge a light and the Qur’an a light, and may blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, who was sent to the illiterate as a teacher and messenger.

My children, students of the preparatory year, I am pleased to welcome you to your university, the University of Hail, wishing you good luck, success and distinction in your studies and that your dreams and ambitions that you seek come true. In order to achieve success in your career, the Deanship of the Preparatory Year is keen to provide students with curricula, student activities, and courses that hone their skills and develop their abilities. The Deanship also seeks to provide everything that is modern in the era of science and knowledge, through continuous review of the curricula in accordance with the requirements of the modern era.

Dear students, the university stage differs from the previous stages, as it depends greatly on your effort and your follow-up of what is presented inside the teaching halls. Therefore, the Deanship of the Preparatory Year was keen to help you adapt to university life through plans based on scientific foundations and implemented by a distinguished work team in order to achieve the goals of the year. Preparatory school, whose priority is to reduce the gap between secondary and university education. We are of assistance to you at this stage.
