The college was established in 2008, with the aim of strengthening the nursing profession in the Kingdom to prepare qualified national cadres capable of providing health care at all levels of preventive, curative and rehabilitative, in accordance with the requirements of the needs of the local community and the labor market.
Since its founding, the college has achieved progress through its academic and research programs, including a bachelor's degree in nursing sciences and a bachelor's degree in midwifery, and then expanded by launching several master's programs to prepare practitioners and qualified health professionals who possess scientific and practical abilities, thinking skills, and professional practice based on scientific evidence.
