The Intellectual Awareness Unit at Hail University, in collaboration with the College of Applied Medical Sciences, organized a lecture titled "The Role of the Educational Field in Enhancing Loyalty and Belonging to the Nation and its Leadership," presented by Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Shammari, a faculty member in the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department at the College of Education. The lecture took place this morning, Tuesday, 14 Shawwal 1445 AH, corresponding to April 23, 2024 AD, in the auditorium of the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shammari began the lecture by defining the terms loyalty and belonging, and the requirements of citizenship in safeguarding the nation, defending it, protecting its facilities, and obeying authority figures. He emphasized that values are the fundamental determinants of educational and pedagogical objectives, aiding in the individual's life construction and personality formation. He also highlighted the importance of rooting loyalty and belonging to the nation and its leadership in Islamic principles, reinforcing loyalty and belonging values in educational curricula elements, and enhancing national responsibility among members of society. Dr. Al-Shammari added that focusing on objectives contributes to learners reaching a level of ethical representation in loyalty and belonging to the nation and its leadership.
Dr. Al-Shammari concluded by pointing out that strengthening national belonging in the hearts of community members is among the values that have achieved a high level of verification among Saudi youth.
