About Department

The Skills Development Department is considered one of the most important departments of the Deanship of Quality and Development, which was established in 1432/1433 AH and aims to develop and develop the skills of all employees of the University of Hail in various relevant training topics. The department includes four sub-units, each of which has a specific task description in light of an approved organizational structure. ​The administration has sought to obtain international accreditation for the development of human resources at the university in accordance with internationally recognized training standards. The administration is one of the first training centers in the Kingdom’s universities to obtain accreditation from the first visit by the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) Accredited on May 18, 2015.

  • Determine the general and specific training needs of university employees.

  • Holding training of trainers (TOT) courses in cooperation with international and local accredited bodies.

  • Searching for communication channels to establish partnerships and cooperation protocols with regional universities and training centers locally and regionally.
  • Participate in preparing development studies for training programs in light of the results of impact measurement reports.
  • Measuring the level of satisfaction of beneficiary groups and entities with the quality of the Skills Development Department’s activities.
  • Spreading the culture of training and professional development through designing and preparing introductory guides.
  • Establishing mechanisms to motivate university employees to participate in attending training programs.

Objectives of occupational safety and health for the Skills Development Department - Deanship of Quality and Development at the University of Hail:

  • Providing a safe and healthy training environment for all its employees from occupational risks, injuries and accidents by 95% for the year 2021/2022.
  • Training university employees on the foundations and standards of occupational safety and health using the latest methods and modern technologies at a rate of 85% for the year 2021/2022.
  • Obtaining the accreditation of the occupational safety and health system ISO 45001/2018 in the year 2021/2022.

Conditions for Passing Training

​1. The trainee is committed to attending the training hours allocated for the course, taking into account that he is allowed to be late or apologize for maximum of 20% of the course hours, and this is calculated from the attendance percentage. 

2. Attendance on the first day is considered mandatory for the course to be counted, and it is not permissible to be late or ask for permission.

3. Attending the pre-test and passing the post-test on the subject of the training course, provided that the score is not less than 70%.

4. In the trainee evaluation questionnaire, the trainee obtained at least 70% of the total score for the questionnaire.

5. The trainee evaluates the training course, electronically through the electronic registration website after allowing the evaluation through the course supervisor.

6. In the event that the trainee attends the entire training course and does not pass the percentages prescribed for both the post-test and the trainer’s evaluation, he will only be given a statement of attendance to be delivered to his employer, and he will not be granted a course certificate. He must attend the course again to pass.

7. The trainee is entitled to a certificate after passing the training course in accordance with the previous conditions.

8. The certificate is issued by the Deanship of Quality and Development no less than 10 days after the end of the training course.
