About Department

The Registration Department at the University of Hail is part of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, specializing in providing student registration services at the university. This department aims to facilitate the registration processes post-admission through organized procedures and policies. It is responsible for updating academic plans, preparing academic schedules, and monitoring academic reports. The department also facilitates early and final registration processes according to the university's academic calendar. Dept Tasks

  • Creating and following up on study schedules, extracting reports, processing them immediately with the colleges, and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Updating study plans to ensure the registration process is in accordance with college requirements.
  • Preparing for early registration and coordinating with colleges in preparation for final registration according to the university’s academic calendar.
  • Register students electronically and give them the first level of the study plan for each major
  • Allocating male and female students after completing the preparatory year stage and distributing them to the colleges according to the academic calendar of the University of Hail and the conditions and standards applicable to the colleges.
  • Carrying out the addition and withdrawal process for all university students electronically according to the university’s academic calendar.
  • Carrying out the process of transferring male and female students from one major to another or transferring from the University of Hail to another university based on the rules and regulations in force at the University of Hail.
  • Carrying out the process of equating courses for students based on the rules and regulations in force at the University of Hail.
  • Follow up on the process of monitoring grades and transmitting them to male and female students through the electronic banner system for admission and registration, according to the university’s academic calendar.​

Registration

The student registers through the university website by logging into his/her account and entering the password.
 
Enter the self-services of the Banner system and then click on the registration icon, which includes several services that help the student to perform them electronically, including:

  • Adding and deleting courses. Through this service, the semester is selected for adding and deleting courses, then pressing the Execute button, and then searching for the addition of courses to be added using the college name and course name. As for the deletion process, the course code and number are written and then pressed. On the execute button.
  • Details of the academic schedule. Through this service, the details of the academic schedule for all the courses that have been added are revealed, as it shows the course name, number, code, course status, name of the course instructor, number of study units, lecture times, the place where the course is taught, and the course registration date.
  • Student schedule: Through this service, the student schedule is displayed, including the reference number for each course, the course code and number, the name of the course, the number of study units, the time, the name of the building, and the hall number for each course.
  • Historical record of registration. Through this service, all dates of courses that were registered in previous years and previous semesters by the student are shown.

  • Colleges are contacted to send the criteria to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.
  • When the standards arrive from the colleges, they are presented to the authorized person for approval.
  • Upon accreditation and the date is near, the standards will be posted on the university’s website to view and know the college rates and absorptive capacity.
  • After reviewing, the student logs into the electronic services through the student portal.
  • The student enters the university number in the user name preceded by the letter S.
  • The student enters the student password.
  • The student logs in to the banner self-services.
  • Select the personalization icon and then choose the semester in which the student wants to specialize.
  • The desires are entered according to the student’s desire on the proposed transactions as an initial acceptance.
  • The final sorting takes place according to the college’s required absorptive capacity.​

Transferring Between Specialties

  • Colleges are contacted to send the criteria to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.
  • When the standards arrive from the colleges, they are presented to the authorized person for approval.
  • Upon accreditation and the date is near, the standards will be posted on the university’s website to view and know the college rates and absorptive capacity.
  • After reviewing, the student logs into the electronic services through the student portal.
  • The student enters the university number in the user name preceded by the letter S.
  •   The student enters the student password.
  •   The student logs in to the banner self-services.
  •   Select the change major icon and then choose the semester the student wants to transfer to.
  •   The desires are entered according to the student’s desire on the proposed transactions as an initial acceptance.
  •   The final sorting is done according to the college’s required absorptive capacity. (Note that making a transfer through the portal requires studying at least one semester and obtaining a grade point average.)

1.What is the deadline for withdrawing from courses? And how is that done ?

7.How do I solve the problem of two conflicting courses at the same time in registration?

A/ The department within the college to which the student belongs is reviewed.
 
9.How do I withdraw from one or more courses?
A/ It is done through the university’s website through the electronic services icon of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration (Withdrawal from one or more courses).
 
10.If I withdraw from all courses, will it hinder me in transferring between colleges?
A/ Withdrawal does not hinder the transfer process if the student studied one semester in the specialty.
 
11.Is it possible to withdraw from a course if the number of hours I have is less than (12) hours?
A/ This is not possible according to university regulations.
 
12.Do I have the right to specialize after the preparatory year, knowing that I have one more course left?
A/ He is not entitled to this according to the university’s regulations.​
