Pursuant to the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the minutes of the Higher Education Council’s session No. (66) by telegraphic directive No. (54727) on Sunday, corresponding to 11/18/1432 AH, the noble Royal Decree was issued approving the opening of the College of Sharia and Law at the University of Hail, so the workers worked hard. In the college, including its dean and deputies, and the Supreme Advisory Committee for this college, which was formed by a decision of His Excellency the University President to lay the first building blocks for this college, starting with its mission, vision, and goals, and ending with a description of its courses, details of study in it, and academic departments in it, and this was taken into account to achieve certain goals. Among them: obtaining excellence in the study of Sharia and regulations in learning, teaching and application, qualifying distinguished graduates to participate in meeting the needs of the labor market, spreading awareness of Sharia and regulations, achieving moderation and moderation, and taking the initiative in offering graduate programs specialized in Sharia and regulations.

The College of Sharia and Law (male section) is located in the college complex on Baqaa Road, and the female section is located inside the university headquarters in the girls’ complex in the Aja neighbourhood.
College departments:
The college consists of three scientific departments: the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles, the Department of Law, and the Department of Islamic Studies.
Bachelor's programs at the college:
Since its inception, the college has offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Sharia for the male section. The first class graduated from the program at the end of the 2017 academic year, while the college recently launched a bachelor’s program for the female section. To meet the community's need, studies in the Bachelor of Sharia program began in the female section in the year 2020 AD.

The college has offered a group of graduate programs in its three departments, including the following:
1- Master of Jurisprudence (Academic Master's in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles)
2- Master of Principles of jurisprudence (Academic Master in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles)
3- Master's in Islamic Faith (Academic Master's in the Department of Islamic Studies)
4- Master of Executive Law (Executive Master of Law Department)
5- Master of Commercial Jurisprudence (Academic Master in Law Department).
