Soil Mechanics Laboratory

   About the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory:
The geotechnical engineering laboratory is equipped with the latest equipment and devices, and tests are conducted in it when studying the soil engineering subject. Experiments in this laboratory are based on testing the properties of soil mechanics, and advanced tests are
   also available for scientific research.

Below is a list of practical applications of soil mechanics:
     1. Soil analysis of sieve (ASTM D: 422-63)
     2. Determination of moisture content by oven drying method (ASTM: D2216-80)
     3. Atterberg limiting liquid limit test for soil (ASTM D: 423-66)
     4. To find the plastic limit of soil (ASTM D: 423-66)
     5. Compression test by standard test method (AASHTO T:99)
     6. Modified test method for compression testing (AASHTO T:180)
     7. Soil specific gravity (ASTM D: 854-58)
     8. Fixed head permeability test (ASTM D:2443-68)
     9. Variable head permeability test (ASTM D:2443-68)

Furthermore, the laboratory also has facilities for conducting geotechnical investigations to evaluate soil strength:
     1. Digital direct shear testing device
     2. Digital integration testing equipment
     3. Three-axis digital testing device
     4. Unconfined electronic testing device
