The department was opened in the academic year 1439/1440 AH, corresponding to 2018/2019 AD, after the art education program was developed to be purely specialized in the name of fine arts, which contributes to preparing graduates specialized in fine arts to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and achieve the ambitious goals of the Kingdom’s vision. 2030.
The department is one of the most important pillars of achieving the college’s mission of excellence and leadership, and the department seeks to achieve the college’s other goals in achieving excellence and leadership. The university, which aims in its strategic plan to promote sustainable development through the establishment and development of academic programs, including the Fine Arts Program, which among its objectives is to spread the aesthetic sense and develop, employ and transform artistic knowledge and skills into works of an aesthetic and functional nature that reflect the extent of the individual’s connection to his cultural environment. and the visual surroundings.
