Under the patronage of the President of the University of Hail, Prof. Dr. Rashid bin Musalat Al Sharif, today, Thursday (December 21, 2023), the 56th meeting of deans of medical colleges at universities in the Kingdom, hosted by the College of Medicine at Hail University, was concluded.
At the beginning of the forum, the President of the University of Hail welcomed the deans of the participating medical colleges, stressing the importance of the recommendations that come out of the meeting on academic and professional issues, and the scientific and medical research movement in which everyone participates, adding that this meeting is an opportunity to exchange experiences and successful and useful experiences.
Professor Dr. Rashid Al-Sharif gave an orientation speech to the male and female students of the College of Medicine at the University of Hail, saying: “The future is before you, and you must exert effort and diligence to achieve the ambitions of the wise leadership, the nation, and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and always remember that our hopes for you are high.”
For his part, the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Hail, Dr. Ahmed bin Awad Al-Sulami, explained that the college places among its priorities the improvement of its outputs, stressing the continuation of achieving the goals through the application of educational quality standards. Dr. Al-Sulami explained that the 56th meeting of the committee of deans of medical colleges in the Kingdom, which is hosted by the University Hail contributes to the development of the academic process in addition to being a scientific reference for medical colleges in the Kingdom’s universities.
It is worth noting that the College of Medicine at the University of Hail was founded in 2007 AD, and studies began in 2008 AD, and its first class graduated in 2014 AD. The number of its graduates reached 759 male and female students, and it is making steady steps to become one of the best specialized scientific colleges locally, with a vision that its graduates will be doctors. At a high and distinguished level, the British Commission for Academic Accreditation has classified the University of Hail as a leading institution in the field of medical education after its international accreditation of the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at the college.
The Medicine and Surgery program at the college also obtained unconditional program accreditation for a period of five years from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Evaluation and Accreditation “Etimad”, in light of the presence of a distinguished team of faculty members. The college seeks through its social activities to increase Health awareness in the community, by providing volunteer medical services to the residents of the Hail region, within the integrated health care initiative “Because you matter to us, the University of Hail takes care of you,” in which all medical and health colleges at the University of Hail participate.
