As part of Hail University's community initiatives and within the "Environmental and Cultural Education" initiative, the College of Education organized a scientific meeting titled "The Importance of Acquiring Knowledge and Sciences Related to Environmental Conservation" on Tuesday (9 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to March 19, 2024). It was presented by Dr. Majed Aqla Al-Shammari, a faculty member, via the Blackboard platform, with the attendance of students and faculty members. The meeting aims to raise awareness about the environment, clarify the human-environment relationship, identify the educational levels of environmental education, and recognize Saudi Arabia's efforts in environmental protection.
The lecturer emphasized the importance of understanding and acquiring environmental knowledge and sciences for society in general and environmental education enthusiasts in particular.
Dr. Turki bin Ali Al-Mutlaq, the Dean of the College of Education, affirmed that the "Environmental and Cultural Education" initiative is part of the community initiatives of the scientific, engineering, and humanities colleges of the university. It was launched by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Hail Region, aiming to enhance responsibility and community participation in the Hail region. He stated that this scientific meeting allows students to enhance their knowledge and skills in environmental fields, reflecting the university's vision as a leader in improving the quality of education, research, and community service.
