The College of Education at the University of Hail organized a scientific meeting today in celebration of World Teachers' Day 2024, held under the theme "Teachers at the Heart of Education Recovery." The speakers addressed the role of teachers in fostering values and national identity, along with current topics in digital education and its strategies, such as artificial intelligence in education and virtual reality. The meeting highlighted the crucial role of teachers in the success of the educational process.

The discussions also covered modern educational theories that focus on making learning interactive and effective through innovative strategies. Among the most prominent of these theories are: constructivist theory, which encourages active learning, sociocultural theory, which emphasizes learning through social interaction, and technology-based learning, which utilizes digital tools. These theories aim to enhance self-motivation, cooperative, and experiential learning, creating an educational environment that meets the diverse needs of students and promotes critical thinking and creativity.

Several academics participated in the meeting, including Dr. Habbab bin Tuwalah, Head of the Department of Education; Dr. Abdullah Al-Minqoori, Head of the Department of Educational Technologies; Dr. Khaled Al-Shammari, Head of the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods; Dr. Maha Al-Shammari, Supervisor of the Female Section of the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods; Dr. Mona Al-Rashidi, Supervisor of the Female Section of the Department of Educational Technologies; and Dr. Atheer Al-Saad, a faculty member in the Department of Education.
