The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general is witnessing a steady development in all aspects of life, and the healthcare field in particular is witnessing a quantitative and qualitative improvements in the provision of specialized healthcare services in government and private sectors, which consequently makes the universities and their medical colleges grow rapidly in quantity and quality.
It was necessary for this qualitative service expansion to be accompanied by a specialized expansion represented by the establishment of programs that meet the need of service institutions to provide different levels of medical care to meet the needs of the community, in conjunction with the presence of growing, advanced and specialized health care institutions.
The need has emerged to launch the National Transformation Program as one of the executive programs of 2030 vision. The National Transformation Program includes eight important dimensions, the most important of which is improving healthcare sector , which in turn contains several initiatives, the most important of which is the National Project for Planning and Developing Postgraduate Health Studies Programs. This initiative aims to develop programs in the planning and development of training process in a way that increases the number of training seats and improves the quality of training outcomes to contribute to the qualification of health personnel specialized in the field of medical care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For this reason, advanced educational programs at the master's level must meet the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially from the perspective of the ambitious 2030 Vision, which includes meeting the community's need to provide distinguished service and build capabilities and competencies capable of keeping pace with the constant development in the provision of medical services and care.
In response to this demand, the Master's Program in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Hail offers a significant increase in the science of diagnostic radiology and in fields known for its steady development in the developed world, namely ordinary diagnostic scans, CT scans, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, radiation protection, and artificial intelligence in the field of medical radiology, at a higher level and to a large degree than what the student has acquired. A bachelor's degree, then additional advanced specialized experience is added to the student's previous practical experience, as well as an increase in his ability to conduct field research, which makes the graduate a specialized, distinguished and desirable contribution from all medical sectors.
