Dr. Mohammad A. Al-Naafa

Act. Dean, College of Engineering

First of all, I would like to welcome you to the College of Engineering at the University of Ha’il and I hope within theses pages to show you a good prospective of who we are and what we do.

When Hail Community College opened its doors in 1998, it had five departments. The Electrical Engineering was one of them. That was then. Today, the EE department is the nucleus of the College of Engineering at the University of Ha’il. This newly established College alone is the home of five departments: Electrical Engineering, Civil  Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Architecture Engineering. This is just the beginning. The College long-term strategy plan, which is supported by the mission of the UOH to link education to the social and economic development of our community, looks promising. We are proud of our achievement so far and we continuously strive to do better in the future.

Here at the University of Ha’il, we are very much concerned with the rapid change that the world undergoes. And we do our best to keep up with the speed of that change by offering the best education possible to our students. We also make sure that our graduates are well-equipped to cope with the challenges of today and tomorrow’s marketplace.

Our programs and courses respond to the need of our community. They vary from undergraduate to give our students hands-on experience and to prepare them for careers in industry, government, and academia. The College of Engineering offers a BS degree in a range of disciplines.

We have a diverse faculty body unified by the commitment to play a vital part in the lives of our students in a supportive and diverse environment that encourages our students, faculty and staff to excel in what they do. As we grow, we are eager to welcome talented faculties and students to join us. I encourage you to pursue these pages to know more about the college, our programs, and research interests.
