 Mishar Nursery School Has Opened its Door!

 

        We would like to invite those who are interested to apply for teaching positions at Mishar Nursery. Prospective teachers will teach children and deal with parents’ enquiries. We are also seeking a Headteacher who will be responsible for the operational management of the school. Interested persons need to contact the Board of Trustees. We are hoping to get the school up and running by Saturday 18 December2004.

After careful consideration of the changing circumstances besetting Mishar Nursery, the college has decided the following:

 1.        A Board of Trustees will be established on a voluntary basis (ideally including children’s parents). The following will apply    to the board of trustees:

a)       The board members shall not cherish any pecuniary advantage.

b)       The board shall be responsible for the strategic management of the nursery including the recruitment of teachers.

c)       The board shall assume total responsibility for all issues related to the strategic management of the nursery.

2.       The headteacher will be appointed by and accountable to the board of trustees. The following will apply to the headteacher:

a)       She will be responsible for the operational management of the nursery.

b)       The operational management includes the day-to-day management of the nursery including, but not limited to:

i-        Teaching children and dealing with parents’ enquiries.

ii-      Liaising with the board and participating in decision-making in matters of principle.

iii-    Managing the school budget and school resources.

iv-     Compiling and maintaining accurate and up-to-date school databases.

v-       Submitting accurate written financial and operational reports as requested.

vi-     Liaising with the board of trustees on matters of recruitment and discipline.

vii-   Arranging meetings of the teaching staff; preparing and publicising agendas and minutes; and chairing such meetings.
